Lee County is located in the northern part of Illinois about 100 miles west of Chicago. The area is full of historical happenings, important people and events. From Abraham Lincoln's only active military duty to the founding of John Deere, from Orson Welles to Charles Walgreen and Ronald Reagan, Lee County has many historical tales to tell.
