Bob Gibler

Bob was born and raised in Chicago, moving to the Rock River Valley and Dixon in 1972. His involvement in a number of community organizations as a volunteer, his sports officiating and holding down a full time job keeps him busy. His fondness for the history of Dixon and Lee County, Illinois, also keeps him busy writing articles which appear in the local newspaper and presenting programs on the history of the area. Bob currently serves the historical society as its president and spends considerable time in updating historical files. His hobbies include collecting John Wayne memorabilia, reading, area history and sports.
